Much of this collection of songs eschews formal, rhythmic and harmonic conventions of popular idioms, replacing them with experimental, yet clear, highly-structured compositional systems governed by unique self-contained internal logic. The majority of the instrumentation is acoustic with the exception of the electric organ and some samples on track 6 and a couple tracks featuring electric guitar or electric dan bau.
