“contingent” examines a year in the life of Carmen (Nora Jesse) as she struggles with feelings of disillusionment in intimacy and tries to form more meaningful connections with those close to her. Her misguided attempts become perverted and love soon turns to conquest as she seduces her roommate Amelia (Rae Kraemer) away from her girlfriend Sarah (Sarah Campbell).
Scored for duets and trios of pitched percussion using a central theme and many variations.
